The Belize Zoo

The Belize Zoo was established in 1981 after completions of a wildlife documentary. Home to more than a hundred birds and animals in their natural habitat. Come see crocodiles, peccary (wild hog) and stunning birds such as a pelican, harpy eagle and the national bird the Toucan. See Jaguars, our national animal the Tapir and different species of snakes. It’s also home to the world’s smallest owl, the Pigmi.

Situated thirty miles on the George Price highway it is located in the wildlife corridor which is a nature reserve area. A perfect way to explore flora and fauna with just a 30 minute drive from Belize City
